“Bōkyō Ichibanboshi” Motorized Light-Up Toy (Popy / 2005)

This motorized, light-up toy is based on “Bōkyō Ichibanboshi”, a variation of the iconic Ichibanboshi truck from the Torakku Yarō film series, produced by Popy in 2005.

In the films, Ichibanboshi trucks are driven by Momojirō Hoshi, portrayed by Bunta Sugawara, the main character of the series.
Rather than representing a single fixed vehicle, Ichibanboshi appears in multiple forms throughout the films, with names and decorations changing to reflect each story’s theme and emotional tone.

The trucks seen on screen are not direct reproductions of real dekotora vehicles, but cinematic interpretations—stylized and exaggerated to convey character, humor, and sentiment.
This toy translates those film-based images and decorative motifs into a simplified, playful format typical of mid-2000s mass-produced toys.

映画『トラック野郎』シリーズに登場する「望郷一番星」をモチーフとした、
Popy（ポピー）製のモーター駆動・ライトアップ機能付きトイ。

「望郷一番星」は、シリーズの主人公である
**星桃次郎（演：菅原文太）**が乗る“一番星”トラックの一形態として登場します。
映画ごとに装飾や名称が変化する一番星トラックは、
厳密な車両再現というより、物語性や情緒を象徴する存在として描かれていました。

『トラック野郎』は1970年代の日本を舞台に、
長距離トラック運転手たちの人情や旅を描いた娯楽映画で、
装飾的なトラック表現は映画的演出として整理・誇張されたものです。
同時代に広がったデコトラ文化とは相互に影響し合いながら、
そのイメージが広く共有されていきました。
